Change The Standard or Birthday Discount Type
New: This is a new feature!
When applying a discount to an invoice, the default discount type is set as Standard or Birthday/Anniversary if you have it set in Preferences to automatically apply a discount during their birth month (unless otherwise specified in their contact profile settings). You can create a new default discount type for each or select a type that has been previously created.
To access the discount types, from the sidebar navigation, click
Settings, then Preferences, then the Invoices tab.
- Select from one of the options listed in the Standard drop-down from the Discounts section, or click ... to create a new type.
- If creating a new discount type, after clicking

. - In the field that appears, enter the name of the new discount type.
- When finished, click

to close the Discount Types pop-up. - Select the discount type from the drop-down, then when finished, click
to save and close Preferences.
- From the Discounts section, select Apply Discount During Birthday Month to enable and enter the percentage to be applied in the field.
- Select from one of the options listed in the Birthday drop-down, or click ... to create a new type.
- If creating a new discount type, after clicking click .
- In the field that appears, enter the name of the new discount type.
- When finished, click then to close the Discount Types pop-up.
- Select the discount type from the drop-down, then when finished, click to save and close Preferences.
