Change The Standard or Birthday Discount Type

The default discount type is Standard when adding a discount to an invoice, or Birthday/Anniversary if birthday discounts are enabled in Preferences and not excluded in the contact's profile. A different default can be created, or an existing discount type can be selected.

 From the sidebar navigation, clickSettingsSettings, then Preferences, then the Invoices tab.

  1. Select from one of the options listed in the Standard drop-down from the Discounts section. Or select the edit button ... to create a new type.
  2. If creating a new discount type, after selecting the edit button ... select the add a row buttonAdd.
  3. In the field that appears, enter the name of the new discount type.
  4. When finished, select the save buttonSavethen close the Discount Types pop-up.
  5. Select the discount type from the drop-down, then when finished, select Save to close Preferences.

  1. From the Discounts section, select Apply Discount During Birthday Month to enable and enter the percentage to be applied in the field.
  2. Select from one of the options listed in the Birthday drop-down. Or select the edit button ... to create a new type.
  3. If creating a new discount type, after selecting the edit button ... select the add a row button Add.
  4. In the field that appears, enter the name of the new discount type.
  5. When finished, select the save buttonSave then close the Discount Types pop-up.
  6. Select the discount type from the drop-down, then when finished, select Save to close Preferences.
