A birthday discount can be set to apply automatically during a customer’s birth month. A default discount percentage is set in Preferences and applies to all customers with a birthday saved on their contact profile. The percentage can also be adjusted on individual contact profiles if a different amount is needed.
From the sidebar navigation, click
Settings, then Preferences.
Discount Options:
Enable Option For Everyone: A discount will automatically be applied to each invoice created during their birthday month.
Change an Individual Percentage: The discount percentage can be increased or decreased in the profile settings for a specific contact.
Enable Option For Everyone
- Select the Invoices tab.
- Under the Discounts section, select Apply Discount During Birthday Month to enable and enter the percentage to be applied in the field.
- Select from one of the options listed in the Birthday drop-down, or click ... to create a new type.
- When finished, click
to save and close Preferences.
Change an Individual Percentage
To override the automatic discount applied to a specific contact, the birthday discount option must be enabled in Preferences first.
- Open the contact's profile, and from the profile toolbar, click
. - Under the Discounts section, click the Birthday field and uncheck Use Preferences.
- Enter a percentage in the Birthday field, then click
to close. - Click to save and close Sales Settings, then
to close the contact profile.
