Account Balance on Invoices

The current account balance appears in the upper-right corner and remains accurate even when viewing or printing older invoices, unless the balance display is turned off. Display of account balance information can be turned on or off in Settings under Preferences by adjusting invoice display options.

Example Scenario

If you have a customer who was invoiced but didn't pay until the next time they placed an order, the upper right-hand corner will always display their current account balance, even if you print or preview it later, unless you have specifically chosen not to show account balance information.

The lower part of the invoice shows the Invoice Total, then the Previous Balance, and the payment method (if any have been applied). The last line displays the current Account Balance, which is also shown in the upper right corner of the invoice.


Hide/Display Account Balance Information

 From the sidebar navigation, clickSettingsSettings, then Preferences.

  1. Under the Invoices tab, select the Customize button.
  2. Select the Options tab, then under Display on Invoice, to not display, uncheck Account Balance (or alternatively, select to display the current balance).
  3. Click Saveto save and close the form, then select Save and close Preferences.
