Create an Entry in the Contact Log

The Contact Log keeps a chronological record of notes, interactions, and follow‑ups for each contact, making it easy to look back on past communication and activity. Entries can be added from the contact list or a contact profile, viewed by date range in the Contact Log Report. System-generated entries are also added for things like invoices, payments, action items, checklists, and emails.

Contact Log Entry Form

When creating a Contact Log entry, the Invoice Follow-up settings are used by default, but can be changed or removed if you do not want their current Next Contact date updated. Entries can be viewed from the Contact Log tab on the profile or from the Contact Log report.

Locations:

Contact List: Create a single or identical entry for multiple contacts.

Contact Profile Toolbar: Create a single entry.

Contact Log Tab: Create a single entry from the section header.

 


Contact List

  1. Select the checkbox next to one or more contacts. If multiple contacts are selected, an identical entry will be added for each contact.
  2. From the contact list toolbar, select the new log entry buttonNew Contact Log Entry.
  3. The date and time will default to current. Enter your initials or other information, such as the communication method, in the Initials field (Call, Text, Mail).
  4. Enter a short note in the Memo field.
  5. The Next Contact Date will default to your settings in Preferences but can be changed or removed if you do not want the current Next Contact date to be updated.
  6. To record information in the Sales Summary by Date report, enter the duration in minutes in the Time Spent field. For a single contact log entry, select the appropriate option: Booking if you scheduled them to host a class or party, Interview if you interviewed them about joining, or Recruited if they signed their agreement and you successfully recruited them.
  7. When finished, select OK.
