Create an Entry in the Contact Log
The Contact Log tracks notes for each contact and allows them to be sorted chronologically. It can be created from the contact list or a contact profile and viewed within a date range from the Contact Log Report.
Entries will automatically be created for the following actions: Invoice, Payment, Action Item, Checklist, and Email, specified in the Category field on the Contact Log tab of the profile. When creating a Contact Log entry, by default, the Invoice Follow-up settings are used but can be changed or removed if you do not want their current Next Contact date changed.
- Select the checkbox next to one or more contacts. If multiple are selected, an identical entry will be added for each contact.
- From the contact list toolbar, click .
- The date and time will default to current. Enter your initials or other information, such as the communication method, in the Initials field (Call, Text, Mail).
- Enter a short note in the Memo field.
- The Next Contact Date will default to your settings in Preferences but can be changed or removed if you do not want their current Next Contact date changed.
- Enter the minutes in the Time Spent field, then click.
- After opening the contact profile from the toolbar, click .
- The date and time will default to current. Enter your initials or other information, such as the communication method, in the Initials field (Call, Text, Mail).
- Enter a short note in the Memo field.
